A stray dog was found motionless and completely covered in tar, in a heart-wrenching incident that occurred in India. The poor animal was so stuck and immobile, it was apparent that it had been in that state for several days. Luckily, some kind-hearted animal lovers discovered the animal and immediately contacted animal rescuers for help.

The rescuers, who belong to Animal Aid Unlimited, arrived at the scene and saw the helpless dog in the distressing state. They had to work tirelessly to remove the tar from the dog’s body using a mixture of oil and a shampoo, as the tar had hardened and attached to the dog’s fur and skin. After several hours of work, the rescuers finally managed to remove all the tar, and the dog was finally free to move again.

The dog, who was initially too weak and traumatized to move, gradually regained its strength after receiving food and medical treatment from the rescuers. Its transformation was astounding, and the once-tarred dog was unrecognizable, looking like a completely different animal.

It’s unclear how the dog got covered in tar, but it’s believed that the dog may have accidentally fallen into a pool of tar that was left unattended by workers at a nearby construction site.
