Donna Lochmann discovered a puppy hiding in a wooded area, but the puppy was very timid and difficult to capture.
The puppy was one of 19 animals rescued from a private residence, and they all seemed to have been poorly cared for and were fearful of humans.
Despite this, Lochmann and her team did not give up on the puppy, and eventually, they were able to secure her and bring her to safety.

The puppy, named Roaring River, and her siblings were given medical check-ups and the love they deserved at the shelter. At first, Roaring River was scared of leashes and had to be carried outside, but with patience and love, she learned to walk on a leash and even run and play.

Roaring River is still available for adoption, but a family is interested in adopting her and is taking things slow to help her get used to them. Lochmann and the shelter staff believe that Roaring River’s happily-ever-after is just around the corner.
