When Squishy was found on Saipan’s beach, she was extremely frightened, malnourished, and sick. She had a collar on, and the beach was infamous for people abandoning their pets.
Despite her fear and aggression towards people, Aria Keilbach from Boonie Babies Rescue was able to catch Squishy with a towel and take her to safety. Squishy soon realized that she was finally safe with people who would take care of her.

Over time, Squishy’s physical and emotional health improved dramatically.
Her fur grew back, and she learned to trust people again.

She became a confident, sweet, and smart dog who loves going on adventures, playing with other dogs, and working for treats.

Although Keilbach usually rescues and rehomes dogs, she couldn’t bear to part with Squishy and decided to keep her as a permanent member of the Boonie Babies team. Squishy’s transformation is truly remarkable, and she’s now living a happy life filled with love and care.
